Katja, founder of DUNKEL RICHTER, advises private individuals, solo self-employed people and small to medium-sized companies. She supports artists in all areas of media and copyright law and represents clients in all matters of press and publicity law.
One of her main areas of practice is drafting and advising on contracts as well as final contract negotiations in the field of film and authorship law.
Katja studied law at the Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. After her first state examination, she went to England for an LL.M. degree (focus on Commercial Law) and then completed her legal traineeship in Cologne and New York. After working as legal counsel and data protection officer in a Berlin startup, she worked as an attorney at JBB Rechtsanwälte in the field of media and copyright law before finally founding DUNKEL RICHTER in February 2021.
She is a member of the “Deutscher Juristinnenbund” (German Women Lawyers Association) (djb).
